In the past two years, a special journey has begun in Israel with the Mammos, the spiritual people and guardians of knowledge of the peoples of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in Colombia.

For the Mammos, the Sierra Nevada is the heart of the world: a living space from which the balance between man, land, water and all forms of life is maintained. Their arrival in Israel was born from a call to work with the Fire Meridian, a significant energetic axis that runs through our region and touches on the deep tension between war and peace, separation and connection, harm and healing.

This is a four-year journey, and we are now entering its third year.

During the first two years, the Mammos worked in Israel on several levels: energetic and ceremonial work with the earth, community meetings, moshila events, conversations, circles, and personal therapies.

The ritual work took place in central locations in Israel, including the Dead Sea and Arad areas, Mount Hermon and Birkat Ram, and other places of significance within their work map. Through offerings, pigmentos, prayers and sacred materials, the Mammos create a process of cleansing, balancing and renewing the connection with the earth.

Part of the process also continues in the Sierra Nevada, Colombia. Materials collected in Israel are brought to the sacred places in the Sierra, where a reading of the information of the earth, the meridians, and the connections between the territories is done. From this reading, the guidelines for continuing the work in Israel are built.

Alongside the energetic work, community work was also woven: meetings with people, communities and organizations, introduction to the knowledge of the Mammos, and knitting new relationships. The moshilah, the traditional hand-woven bag, became a living symbol of storytelling, memory, listening and connection in these meetings.

This year, another layer is opening: deep learning.

Beyond ceremonies and meetings, we are working on a two-and-a-half-day in-depth seminar with the Mamus, in the center of the country, in collaboration with a recognized academic institution and other organizations. The seminar will allow participants to encounter the cosmology of the Mamus, learn about reciprocity, spiritual responsibility, relationships with the earth, and the preservation of life.

At the heart of the work of the Mammos is a simple and profound understanding: Man receives from the earth, and therefore he also gives back. Life exists through relationships. When man returns to listening, to gratitude, and to responsibility, the possibility of healing opens up.

The Mamus Israel project is much more than a visit, a ceremony, or an event. It is a multi-year journey of connection between territories, between worlds of knowledge, between communities, and between the ancient and new possibilities of living here with responsibility, listening, and echoing.
